Nomenclatures : 3.6.2 Référentiel des activités dans la norme CERIF


La norme Cerif (Common European Research Information Format) est un modèle permettant de décrire l'organisation des institutions de recherche (publications, données, activités de recherche, chercheurs, laboratoires). Cette norme est recommandée par l'Union européenne à ses Etats membres[1].

L'activité peut être soit mentionnée à titre indicatif et liée à l'organisation de l'unité soit décrite au même titre qu'un projet de recherche (nombreuses propriétés et liens avec publications, brevets, organisations, personnels,).

Il existe un attribut multilingue à l'entité OrganisationUnit, qui se nomme OrganisationUnitResearchActivity, qui permet de stocker une ou plusieurs activités de recherche de la structure, mais sans détails, hormis le nom

CERIFCf. Common European Research Information Format. contient les entités Project et Event qui sont généralement utilisées pour les activités (ayant de nombreuses propriétés et des liens avec les autres entités telles que publications, patents, organisations, persons..)

CERIFCf. Common European Research Information Format. définit des vocabulaires ; en ce qui concerne les activités, les vocabulaires Activity Types et Activity Subtypes ont été générés lors du projet anglais RMAS (Resarch Management and Administration System); voici les termes qu'ils contiennent et leur définition :

Project An activity with a specific set of anticpated outputs to be produced over a speficic time-frame.
Conference An activity that brings together people to discuss topics around an agreed theme.
Fellowship An award for an individual allowing to undertake generic or specific research.
Networking An activity which brings together either physically or virtually groups of people, normally over a period of time to meet and exchange information and good practice.
Infrastructure An activity to develop or maintain equipment, facilities, services or buildings.
Studentship (The work undertaken by a person during) a funded research degree.
Organisation An organization (or organisation - see spelling differences) is a social group which distributes tasks for a collective goal. The word itself is derived from the Greek word organon, itself derived from the better-known word ergon - as we know `organ` - and it means a compartment for a particular job.
Facility A facility is a space or equipment necessary for conducting research (CERIFCf. Common European Research Information Format. Entity). The full economic cost associated with the running of the institutional research facilities and equipment used in an activity (Activity Finance Category). The specification, procurement and installation of a facility (Activity Subtype).
Research Project A project with a specific set of anticipated research outputs to be produced over a specific time-frame.
Contract Research A project funded for an expected outcome (normally specified by the funder).
Early Career Research Project A project undertaken by an early career researcher, for example someone in the first four years of their academic post.
Consultancy A specific bounded (time and specification) contribution to an activity.
Commercialisation An activity to (or to support) the transfer of resarch outputs or outcomes into the private sector.
Continuing Professional Development The support for the career development of Researchers, Research Students or Research Leaders.
Enterprise The activity to support working with the private sector.
KTP The specific activity type defined by the technology strategy board of the UK government.
Programme Grant A large-scale activity designed to comprise a number of projects.
Attendance Attending an event (e.g conference).
Hosting Hosting an event (e.g conference).
Specified Named Person A fellowship awarded to an individual.
General Fellowship A fellowship awarded to an institution for which an individual can subsequently apply to.
Travel The costs associated with travel and subsistence (Activity Finance Category). A physical networking activity normally associated with a single or short series of visits (Activity Subtypes).
Workshop A physical or virtual networking activity bringing people together for a single gathering.
Building The specification, procurement and installation of buildings.
Collaborative (The work undertaken by a person during) a funded research degree which involves an external agency as part of or host to the research work (e.g. a research council collaborative doctoral award).
General Studentship (The work undertaken by a person during) a funded research degree.
Block-Grant (The work undertaken by a number of people during) a block of funded research degrees (e.g. a research council block-grant partnership).
Cette liste peut également servir de base de travail au groupe de travail qui élaborera une nomenclature française des activités.
